88.9 WynFm The VIBE: Where Business Meets Insightful Conversations

In this segment, we tackle a common startup pitfall: CEOs stuck in the “technician” mindset! The CEO’s role is crucial. They set the tone for the company culture, and strong leadership attracts strong talent. When leaders abandon hope of teams performing effectively, this leads to a “dictator” style: the leader becomes distant, distrustful, and assumes team incompetence. Success is rarely attributed to the team, while failures fall on them. This stems from a lack of trust established earlier, causing the leader to believe doing everything themselves is the only way to get things done. The result? Lower performance, tension, and lost momentum.

RESET Your Thinking work smarter not harder

Professional Development Forum – Nov 14, 2021

At some point in our lives, we’ve heard the phrase “I don’t think you can do this”. It’s come from either a colleague, a family member or a close friend. That phrase starts to stick and becomes part of our self-talk. What we don’t stop to understand is how much of a disservice we do ourselves because of that phrase! The journey to self-actualisation starts with telling yourself how brilliant you can be and it starts when you are ready to step back, reset your thinking and challenge the status quos surrounding you. In this session, Alexandra will look to empower you to break old habits, negative thinking and bad programming from your past, showing you how to let go of old thinking patterns that are holding you back and keeping you small, and start building new ones that propel you forward in the direction of your goals and your incredible transformation, so that you can be uniquely YOU.

The psychology behind great communications with Alexandra Egan

Professional Development Forum – Mar 9, 2021

In this episode, Jeffery Wang speaks to Alexandra Egan, a straight shooter that gets results. Alex came to Australia as a 5-year old with her Greek migrant parents. As a child, she struggled to communicate across language and cultural barriers. That made her acutely aware of the need to communicate authentically so she can build fulfilling relationships. It also inspired her journey into becoming the brilliant communicator she is today. She specialise in communications under pressure in an extremely challenging circumstance. With over 30+ years’ experience working with prisoners, victims of crime, witness protection and the like, she understands that managing communications is the most effective way to avoid a crisis. www.alexandraegan.com.au

Radio Eastern FM with Roger Broadbent

I had the pleasure of going LIVE on Radio Eastern FM – 98.1 with Roger Broadbent speaking on Adapting in Times of Crisis. (see interview below…)

A crisis can hit at any time, ranging from a worldwide pandemic to a personal crisis, and how we adapt and manage our emotions is the difference that makes the difference.

When we have increased emotional intelligence, this helps us to better manage crisis situations. People who fail to use and develop their emotional intelligence skills are more inclined to turn to less resourceful means of managing their feelings and emotions; experiencing a higher level of stress, anxiety, and the like.

There’s quite a difference between being swept up in the emotion of the event versus having an awareness of being caught up in the emotions.

An interview with Nicola Marsh

Nicola Marsh is a bestselling & multi-award-winning author who writes feel-good fiction…with a twist!

She has published 70 books and sold over 8 million copies worldwide. A physiotherapist for 13 years, she now adores writing full time, raising her two boys, sharing fine food with family and friends, barracking loudly for her beloved North Melbourne Kangaroos footy team, and her favorite, curling up with a good book! Nicola shares about what it takes to be a writer…it’s not just about typing. It’s so much more than that. Our thoughts, our focus, our actions, and knowing the strategies to take full responsibility and create change is key to transforming our results. An interview not to be missed.
